WhiteHat Jr.Ads -The Indian Parent Menatlity -Is it really required to code from class 6?
Do children really need coding right from class 6? Is coding really necessary for a kid to survive the competition? Well...In this blog, I would express my views on the topic.
Moreover, the recent National Educational Policy also mentions that coding would be a subject in the curriculum from class 6
Here is my take
"Indian parents are very ambitious.....in this sense I can go a step further and use the word they are "Status driven".They give more importance to the status of their families and their children.
Here comes the major problem with the dangerous trend of compulsory coding. When parents get influenced by seeing the ads and force their child to join the coding classes....this adds an extra burden for a child who is not interested in coding.
Primary school is the age where children need to explore various paths in life....of course, they can explore the coding path...but this should not be with a force.
My problem with the ads like white hat Jr is They directly affect the mentality of Indian parents forcing them to join their kids in their programme.
Many might argue that coding is the future, Yes I do agree.
With the advent of technologies like artificial intelligence and augmented reality coding might be the new mathematics. But there are many other fields that a child can explore other than coding.
Top coders are made only with interest not with force.
Therefore the ads of White Hat Jr are extremely ridiculous and they influence the mentality of an Indian parent.
Create the Interest in the child to code rather than forcing him to code "
