Brain ..It is what makes you think.It is an essential functioning part of our human body.Intelligence according to me is how good you use your brain.It is how well you think logically against the stereo types that you encounter in your day to day life.One thing that fascinates me the most when I usually think of a human brain is "Can it be influenced?".Its good to influence people to get your Job done.In this article I would like to provide you a deep dive into this interesting concept of brain washing.

WHAT IS BRAIN WASHING?

Brainwashing (also known as mind control, menticide, coercive persuasion, thought control, thought reform, and re-education) is the concept that the human mind can be altered or controlled by certain Psycological techniques. Brainwashing is said to reduce its subjects' ability to think critically or independently to allow the introduction of new thoughts and ideas into their minds,as well as to change their attitudes, values and beliefs.

The term "brainwashing" was first used in English by Edward Hunter in 1950 to describe  how the Chinese  government  appeared to make people cooperate with them.

WHO CAN BRAIN WASH?


Brain washing might seem simple but according to me every person donot have the ability to brain wash.

Only a person with a brain can brainwash.This might sound silly right ??.Here when I mean brain it means a brain which is ready to think.You might sound this silly as well.All brains donot think.Let me tell you an example Many of us are told  by our elder that God exists but the people who find a logical solution to what people say are according to me come under the category of thinking.


More over you cannot brain wash a being with  same type ofbrain.For example you cannot change the mind of a barking dog on a street.

The Oxford English Dictionary records the earliest known English-language usage of the word "brainwashing" in an article by journalist Edward Hunter, in Miami News, published on 24 September 1950. Hunter was an outspoken anticommunist and was alleged to be a CIA agent working undercover as a journalist. Hunter and others used the Chinese term to explain why, during the Korean War (1950-1953), some American prisoners of war (POWs) cooperated with their Chinese captors, and even in a few cases defected to their side. British radio operator Robert W. Ford and British army Colonel James Carne also claimed that the Chinese subjected them to brainwashing techniques during their imprisonment.


TRUMP IN 2016 US ELECTION

This might sound surprising.America was a liberal society right from its formation.It was open to foreigners and was a free society.But Donald trump who ran for the presidential race in 2016 wanted to change this mind set.He started his campaign with the slogan "AMERICA FIRST".This was a huge success. and he eventualy became the president.You might ask How this would be a brain washing.

This comes under the category of brain washing because he had successfully brought a change in the existing strong mindset of the people.He used many tactics to do this.I am not of an opinion this is a bad job.Brain washing might also lead to good.We will discuss this later in the article.

MISCONCEPTIONS OF BRAIN WASHING 

Many assume brain washing as a technique which would bring about radical changes which are against the public interest.But this is not always right.


HOW TO BRAIN WASH ?

Brain washing has a Psycological procedure that needs to be followed.But I wouldn't go into that.Check the link that I will be providing at the bottom for scientific procedure of brain washing.

But I would explain my view on how you can brain wash people around you by influencing them for your own needs.Here are some steps to be followed

1.You need to believe the idea that you are willing to impose

2. Check whether the person is really capable of absorbing your idea

3. Perform a SWOT analysis of the persons thoughts

4. Give him all the dimensions of the issue

5. Persuation when the result is positive

6. Respect his opinion if you reach a limit where  he is unable to accept your idea

This is a peaceful way of imposing your idea on a person for your personal benefit. But actually Brainwashing is used by many for ill full activities which should be penalised .Hence use your mind for good and influence people for good.
